PRISM was launched in 2009 by ex-style editor Anna Laub, born out of a desire for products that were both fashionable and functional. Her obsession with functionality and an attention to detail, brought her to develop her minimal aesthetic into a whole range of luxury resortwear products. Celebrating traditional craftsmanship, all PRISM products are made in Europe at family run factories – combining skilled workmanship with modern design. Acetate glasses are handmade in the eyewear heritage valley of Belluno, cut from blocks of acetate developed exclusively for PRISM, while the metal glasses are handcrafted in Japan. The swimwear and beachwear are both made in a family-run factory in Italy, using fabrics made exclusively for PRISM in France and Italy.
In Spring 2014, PRISM opened its first flagship store on Chiltern Street in the burgeoning Marylebone area of central London. In December 2014, PRISM won The Emerging Accessory Designer at the British Fashion Awards and in 2016, PRISM was named as a finalist in the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund.
